Program details and number of game drives subject to change based on flight details:

    Day 1

Upon arrival at the Cape Town International Airport, you will be met outside the Customs and Immigration area and transferred to your city-based hotel, where you will spend the evening. Lunch and dinner are on your own.

Please note that guests who fail to arrive by Day 1 of their land program will be considered a no-show and hotel space for the duration of the program will be released. Arrangements for accommodation and transfers will be at the expense of guests.

    Day 2

After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, you will transfer to the Cape Town International Airport for a domestic flight to Port Elizabeth. On arrival at Port Elizabeth Airport, you will transfer 1.5- 2 hours by road to your first safari destination – Gorah Elephant Camp.

Gorah is the only private concession and Camp situated in the middle of the famous Addo Elephant National Park, home to the densest population of elephants on earth. Gorah is malaria-free and is home to the Big 5.

Depending on the time of arrival, you will enjoy lunch and then free time at the lodge. In the afternoon, you will gather in the main lodge for tea followed by an open-vehicle game drive. Later, you will return to the lodge for dinner and to spend the evening.

NOTE: Activities and meals on this day are subject to your flight time

    Day 3

You will spend the entire day at Gorah Elephant Camp, where two game drives and all meals are included.

    Day 4

After one last game drive and breakfast at Gorah Elephant Camp, collect your belongings and check out. A local representative will meet and accompany you to your second safari destination – Shamwari Game Reserve and Long Lee Manor, about an hour and 20-minute drive away.

Shamwari, meaning “my friend” in Shona, is the pinnacle of private game reserves and home to the coveted Big 5. A stay at Shamwari Private Game Reserve is one that will remain with you forever. Due to its location in the heart of the Eastern Cape, the reserve offers abundant wildlife, fauna and flora exclusive to the area and unforgettable encounters with nature.

Upon arrival, check in, enjoy lunch and have time to freshen up and check out your surroundings. Later in the day head out for an evening game drive in 4x4 vehicles. Following your game drive dinner will be served in the manor house.

    Day 5

You will spend the entire day on the Shamwari Game Reserve, where two game drives and all meals are included.

    Day 6

Depending on your flight time, you may or may not have time for a morning game drive. After breakfast and check-out formalities, transfer back to the Port Elizabeth Airport and depart on a domestic flight to Cape Town. On arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met and transferred to Cape Town harbor, where you will embark the ship.

NOTE: Activities and meals on this day are subject to your flight time

    Please note:

-The contents and order of activities in this program are subject to change by the lodge management without prior notice, due to the prevailing weather conditions and movement of dangerous wildlife on the reserve.

-Whilst this is a safari area, the animals are wild and so sightings cannot be guaranteed.

-During early morning game drives in open vehicles it can be a little cool. We recommend that guests take along a windbreaker.

-During the day, it can get extremely hot. The game drive vehicles are not covered – and guests are therefore exposed to the elements. Guests are therefore advised not to forget their sunhats, sun block, sunglasses, as well as their cameras and binoculars.

-The roads in the game reserve are gravel. There are also inclines and certain parts of the game-drive can be bumpy. Not recommended for guests with back & neck problems or pregnant ladies.

-This program is suitable for guests with walking disabilities, providing that a travel companion or spouse accompanies them. Please also note that confirmation would be strictly subject to availability of handicapped rooms at the time of booking.

-No children under 6 years of age are allowed on safari.

-This program is not fully guided. Local representatives will assist you with your transfers however, the program at the lodges and hotels is run solely and at the discretion by the lodge/hotel staff.

    Expected Weather:

South Africa’s seasons are the reverse of those in the northern hemisphere. Midwinter is June and midsummer is December and January. The climate varies from region to region but is generally mild throughout the year. Expect it to be hot during the day and much cooler in the evenings.

    What to Bring:

Light cotton tops and cotton trousers and shorts in summer. Safari trousers and warm fleece tops for evenings and cooler days. Also, bring swimwear, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes, camera, film and chargers, personal toiletries.

    Currency:

The monetary unit of South Africa is the Rand, divided into cents and abbreviated as R and c. All major credit cards are accepted at most establishments, although Visa and Mastercard are the most widely accepted cards.

    Electricity:

South Africa’s electrical system is 220/230 volts A/C 50 cycles. Most hotels have hair dryers and plug adaptors in the bedrooms however we suggest you bring your own travel adaptors if you are bringing electronic devices.

    Luggage:

On the flights from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth and vice versa, guests are permitted to check-in 1 piece of luggage at a maximum of 23 kg (50 lbs.) and maximum dimension of 158 cm (62 inches).

Excess luggage (up to 2 pieces of luggage per person) will be stored in Cape Town for the duration of the program and then transferred to the port for embarkation. Please pack accordingly for this and limit the luggage you take on the safari to 1 piece per person.

  • Look for iconic African animals such as lions and elephants on game drives through Madikwe Game Reserve and enjoy a conservation experience while luxuriating at the Impodimo Game Lodge between adventures.

Note: This program begins in Johannesburg, therefore, arriving flights need to be booked into the O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.

    DAY 1

Upon arriving at Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo International Airport, you will be met and transferred to the 54 on Bath hotel in the leafy suburb of Rosebank. After settling in and freshening up, you will have dinner at the hotel, where you will spend the evening.

    DAY 2

After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, you will transfer with an English-speaking representative to the Impodimo Game Lodge, which sits on a rocky ridge within the Madikwe Game Reserve. A box lunch will be served during the drive.

Following check-in at the lodge, you will have time to relax, freshen up and enjoy afternoon tea before heading into the bush on an afternoon game drive. A skilled tracker will accompany you in the open, 4x4 vehicle to increase your chances of observing animals such as elephants, rhinos and lions. Somewhere along the way, you will pause in the bush for a sundowner.

Once you return to the lodge, dinner will be served. A ranger will escort you back to your accommodations for the evening, as there isn’t a fence around the lodge and the animals roam freely.

    DAY 3

Following an early-morning wake-up, you will have the unique opportunity to join a conservation safari. In fact, a percentage of the proceeds from your purchase of this program are donated by the lodge to the Madikwe Rhino Fund. The hands-on experience involves working closely with veterinarians and the capture team. The exact nature of the experience will depend on what is needed that particular morning.

Back at the lodge, you will have time to relax, enjoy the facilities and perhaps learn the art of tracking animals in the bush with a ranger. You could also head into the Elephant Hide, a wonderfully comfortable air-conditioned room that allows you to view elephants up-close at a watering hole without being detected.

An afternoon game drive follows, during which you will explore other areas of the reserve. As during the day before, a stop will be made for sundowners in the bush.

Returning to the lodge for dinner, you will have the rest of the evening to do as you please before retiring.

    DAY 4

The day will be spent much like the previous day with the exception of a morning game drive instead of another conservation experience. A second game drive follows in the afternoon, a time when the animals are just as active as they are in the morning. A tracker will accompany you to point out the animals and answer questions you may have regarding their behaviors and characteristics.

Sundowners will be served before returning to the lodge for dinner and the evening.

    DAY 5

Following a leisurely breakfast, you will check-out of the lodge. If time permits, you will head into the bush on one, last morning game drive.

An English-speaking guide will then join you for the transfer to Johannesburg, during which a box lunch will be served. After arriving at the O.R. Tambo International Airport, you will fly to Cape Town International Airport, where another English-speaking guide will assist with your transfer to the cruise ship for embarkation.

    DAY 4

After breakfast at your hotel and check-out formalities, embark on a half day tour of the city before transferring to the port for embarkation.

Begin with a visit to Table Mountain, the city’s most celebrated landmark!

Travel up Kloof Nek, the saddle between Table Mountain and Lions Head, to the lower cableway station. Ascend from the Valley Station (363 m) to the Mountain Station (1 060 m) in a Swiss engineered Rotair cable car. The journey from the base to the summit takes just under 4 minutes and one can enjoy spectacular views, as the floor of the car rotates 360 degrees during the ascent and descent.

Table Mountain gets her name from the flat-topped central massif of the mountain, which, viewed from the city, is surrounded by Devil’s Peak on the left, Lion’s Head on the right and Signal Hill in the foreground. They form a sort of amphitheater that encloses the city center and some of the older suburbs. Other earlier suburbs are on either side of the chain of mountains, which run like a spine through the Cape Peninsula, from Table Mountain to Cape Point – the cape from which Cape Town gets its name.

From the summit, the natural protected area stretching from Signal Hill to Cape Point has been managed under the custodianship of the National Parks Board. This area has one of the highest concentrations of endemic plant and animal species in any area of its size, containing a staggering 2 285 plant species – more than the entire U.K.

Upon descent, re-board your vehicle and transfer to the port via a brief city orientation tour of Cape Town passing through Adderley Street and along the Foreshore.

Note: the cable car ride to the top of Table Mountain is weather dependent. If not possible due to high winds a stop will be made at a viewing area near the cable car base for photos.

Following breakfast, you will meet your tour guide in the hotel lobby and then depart for a full-day tour of the Cape Winelands featuring Stellenbosch, the Town of Oaks and the second-oldest town in South Africa.

Stellenbosch is a university town famous for its carefully preserved architectural heritage, which includes examples of Cape Dutch, Georgian and Victorian styles, especially on Dorp Street, which is lined with houses, cottages and shops. Rows of oaks and open spaces transform the streets into soft, shady tunnels. The oaks have actually been proclaimed national monuments.

Starting in the Old Town center with your specialized “foodie” guide, your walking tour will focus on fresh, local, sustainably produced, and seasonal produce. In addition to its international wine reputation, Stellenbosch is also home to curated, public art exhibitions. During your leisurely walk you will savor the handiwork of both enthusiastic food artisans and celebrated artists in Stellenbosch. Throughout, your guide will entertain you with stories about the history and culture of the area.

Your tour includes sampling home-grown teas paired with typical Cape sweet treats, traditional beef snacks from a local butchery, local produced wines with appetizing delights and the walk will conclude at one of the oldest hotels in Stellenbosch for a delicious heritage platter.

After lunch, re-board your coach and head to Blaauwklippen Wine Estate. Founded in 1682, Blaauwklippen is one of the oldest wine farms in Stellenbosch. Upon arrival you will be welcomed and will partake in a delectable wine and chocolate pairing followed by the unique opportunity to create a wine blend.

Start off by tasting three different wines lead by an experienced wine ambassador who will guide the group through the process showing how and why certain varieties harmonize better than others. You will then be challenged to create your own blend as a team.

After some time to explore the estate on your own it will be time to return to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure with dinner on your own. If you wish, the hotel’s concierge can assist you in making arrangements for an unforgettable dinner off site or you may choose to dine in-house.

    DAY 3

Following a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, you will meet your tour guide in the hotel lobby and depart for a full-day tour to the Cape Winelands featuring Franschhoek.

The lush Franschhoek Valley and the Huguenot village of Franschhoek (“French Corner”) was originally known as Olifants Hoek (“Elephant’s Corner”) after elephants took to calving in the sheltered valley with its plentiful supply of food and water.

En-route, you will stop at Boschendal Wine Estate for a guided walking tour offering rare personal insight into the history of the farm, regenerative farming practices and sustainable gardening while experiencing and enjoying the beauty of the farm and its gardens. You will also be harvesting seasonal herbs from the herb garden. Comfortable shoes and hats are recommended as this is a 1.5-hour walking tour.

Following your farm tour, you will enjoy a wine tasting and then lunch at The Werf Restaurant.

You will then travel to the town of Franschhoek, where you have the option to visit to the Huguenot Monument, situated at the foot of the Franschhoek Pass, which commemorates the arrival of the Huguenots in South Africa. Alternatively, you may explore this quaint town on your own.

The tour ends with a nougat and sparkling wine tasting at Haute Cabriere or a similar venue.

Back at your hotel you will have some time to freshen up before a final wine pairing three-course group dinner.

PLEASE NOTE – This PRE-Cruise Program begins in Johannesburg and therefore guests need to fly into Johannesburg, South Africa. The following program details are for reference purposes only and subject to change based on flights that can be confirmed at or around 60 days prior to sailing.

Special Note: Any guests travelling with Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines should read further below for airline stipulations with regards to bringing this equipment on tour.

    DAY 1

Upon arrival at Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport, you will be met and assisted through passport control and baggage claim. You will then be escorted your hotel where you will spend the remainder of the day at leisure. Your hotel is located within walking distance of the terminal.

Check in time at your hotel is at 2:00pm. Although every effort will be made to have rooms available sooner, this cannot be guaranteed. Should you have an early arriving flight you may wish to book an extra night so that your room is available upon arrival.

    DAY 2

After breakfast and check out, meet your local escort and walk to the terminal to check in for a flight to Kasane, Botswana.

As guests may only bring one piece of checked luggage per person, excess luggage (1 piece per person) will be shipped via courier to Cape Town where you will be re-united with it on Day 5. Make sure to pack accordingly and bring any medications and cruise documents with you.

On arrival in Kasane, proceed through Customs and Immigration after which a lodge representative will meet and transfer you to Chobe Game Lodge - an elegant, five-star, fully Ecotourism-certified safari lodge and the only property located inside the world-renowned Chobe National Park and set on the banks of the famous Chobe River.

Enjoy limitless views from the boardwalk overlooking a wildlife-rich floodplain to the eats and the Chobe River to the west. Dine in one of several areas around the lodge and enjoy your spacious room with its own terrace facing the Chobe River. Inside the rooms are all the amenities and comforts you expect from a luxury safari lodge. The en-suite bathrooms include a large bath and separate shower, while air-conditioners and overhead fans ensure you have a comfortable stay.

Following check-in, enjoy lunch followed by some free time to enjoy your surroundings. In the afternoon, embark on an activity – Chobe 4x4 game drive or Chobe River Safari. Return to the lodge for dinner and a good night’s rest.

On your game drive you may see wildlife including elephant, lion, leopard and buffalo to name a few. Chobe is also home to two antelope that aren’t encountered anywhere else in Botswana, the puku and the Chobe bushbuck. Declared a national park in 1967, Chobe was the first one established in Botswana and now covers more than 4,500 square miles of dry savannah, floodplains, and teak woodlands that are ideal animal habitats.

Following you evening activity, return to the lodge for dinner.

    DAY 3

After an early-morning wake-up call and coffee and tea in the lobby, you will embark on a morning game drive in 4x4 open-air safari vehicles.

Returning from your morning safari, a full breakfast will be served after which you will have free time to do as you wish at the lodge.

Following lunch, you will embark on a cruise down the Chobe River – this is the ideal time to keep a look out for animals coming to the river for water.

Later dinner will be served at the lodge.

    DAY 4

After enjoying one last optional game drive and breakfast, check-out from the lodge and transfer cross the border between Botswana and Zimbabwe by road en route to Victoria falls. (Visas will need to purchased here for Zimbabwe), The drive is approximately 1- 1.5 hours depending on border time.

On arrival at the Victoria Falls hotel, check in and enjoy lunch.

Later in the afternoon, transfer to the Zambezi River and embark on a sunset cruise (shared departure). Depending on the size of the group the boat may either be a covered single level sightseeing boat or a larger boat with multiple levels. Enjoy a beverage from this vantage point whilst watching the sunset and possibly sighting hippos, crocodiles, various birdlife and maybe even an elephant or two along the banks of the river.

Your boat cruise is followed up with dinner back at the hotel.

    DAY 5

After breakfast and check out, transfer to the Victoria Falls Rainforest where you will have a guided walk.

Located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls is the world’s largest curtain of falling water, based on the falls’ one-mile width and height of 360 feet. It’s an amazing spectacle to watch as the Zambezi River roars over the edge of a basalt gorge, forming what locals call Mosi-Oa-Tunya or “the smoke that thunders”. In November 1885, after seeing the falls for the first time, Scottish explorer and Doctor David Livingstone re-named them after Queen Victoria.

A path along the edge of the rainforest provides visitors with an unparalleled series of views of the falls but be prepared to get wet from the tremendous spray!

NOTE: the cobblestone walkways within the rainforest can be slippery if wet and some spots are at a gradient. Proper walking shoes that have a good grip should be worn, and guests should wear appropriate clothing to get wet. Due to the amount of walking and terrain, this program is not suited for guests who have walking difficulty or who utilize a wheelchair or scooter. Walking distance will be 2-4km (1.24 – 2.48 miles).

Your program here concludes with a transfer to the Victoria Falls Airport where you will take a flight to Cape Town.

In Cape Town you will be met and transferred to your hotel which is located at the Victoria And Alfred Waterfront where you will find a wide array of shopping and dining options. Lunch and dinner are on your own today.

Guests will be reunited with any excess luggage that was stored in Johannesburg and shipped to Cape Town.

NOTE: Activities and meals on this day are subject to your flight time

    DAY 6

After breakfast and check-out is completed, you will be transferred to the Cape Town Harbour via a city orientation tour.

    PLEASE NOTE

*This is a malaria risk area. Make sure that the necessary medication has been taken. Guests should seek their physicians’ advice regarding malaria precautions and other recommended immunizations. You must begin taking malaria precautions prior to your departure date.

*The contents and order of the activities in this program are subject to change by the lodge management without prior notice, due to the prevailing weather conditions and movement of dangerous wildlife in the Chobe National Park.

*The roads in the game reserve are gravel. There are also inclines, and certain parts of the game drive can be bumpy. This program is not recommended for guests with back problems.

*Bring warm clothing, as the evenings and early mornings are chilly.

*This program is not fully guided. Local representatives will assist you with your transfers and you will have a guide at Victoria Falls, however, the game drive and Chobe River cruise at the lodge and is run solely and at the discretion by the lodge/hotel staff.

*The water levels at Victoria Falls are season dependent. ‘Low Water’ runs between August and January and is at its lowest between November and early December. This is the time when there is very little spray and visitors are able to fully appreciate the geological formation of Victoria Falls and the full length and breadth of them.

    Expected Weather:

South Africa’s seasons are the reverse of those in the northern hemisphere. Midwinter is in June and midsummer at hottest temperatures in December and January. The climate varies from region to region but is generally mild throughout the year. The average daily temperature is 30°C and nighttime temperatures can drop to approximately 14°C.

The arrival of the rains trigger a dispersal of game from the Chobe River area but the warm, rainy December to March summer months are the best time to visit Chobe for bird watching, the impala birthing season (great for predators!) and to see the Savute zebra migration.

In Zimbabwe and Botswana, during summer (October – April), days are hot and generally sunny in the morning with possible afternoon thunderstorms. Daytime temperatures can rise to 30ºC (86 ºF) and night temperatures drop to around 14ºC (57.2 ºF) - 16ºC (60.8 ºF). The temperatures given are those for the main centers but it is considerably warmer all year round in the low-lying areas such as Kariba, Victoria Falls, and the Zambezi Valley. The rainy season runs from November to March, although the Eastern Highlands are damp for most of the year.

    What to Bring:

Light cotton tops and cotton trousers and shorts in summer. Safari trousers and warm fleece tops for evenings and cooler days. Swimwear, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes, camera, film and chargers, personal toiletries and anti-malaria prophylaxis.

    Currency:

The monetary unit of South Africa is the Rand. All major credit cards are accepted at most establishments, although Visa and Mastercard are the most widely accepted cards.

In Zimbabwe, the unit of currency is the US Dollar

Credit card payments in Zimbabwe are subject to change on a daily basis. Currently, as only Visa cards are widely accepted here so we recommend that you travel with a small amount of US Dollars or SA Rand in cash, in small denominations, to pay for incidental expenses.

    Electricity:

South Africa’s electrical system is 220/230 volts A/C 50 cycles. Most hotels have hair dryers and plug adaptors in the bedrooms however we recommend bringing your own travel adaptor if you are bringing electric devices. Be aware that overnight charging may not be possible where generator use restricts the availability of electricity.

Outlets in Zimbabwe require a three-pronged adapter plug with 3 round prongs

    Luggage:

    CHECKED LUGGAGE

For your economy class internal flights:

*Passengers are permitted to check-in one piece of luggage at a maximum of 23 kg (50 lbs.) and maximum dimension of 158 cm (62 inches) - subject to change by airline

    2. The certificate should have attached a picture of the equipment with its description/specifications especially with regards to the type of batteries used (lithium/dry or any other type)

    4. Failure to comply with the above regulations may result in a denial of this equipment at the airport for which Regent Seven Seas Cruises nor our local ground operator be responsible for.

    Documents and Visa Requirements:

*Citizens of the United States do not require visas for Botswana.

*Citizens of the United States and Canada require a visa for Zimbabwe. These can be obtained upon crossing the border between Botswana and Zimbabwe. Visas are payable only in cash and are approximately $75 USD per person (subject to change)

•Bring warm clothing, as the evenings and early mornings can be chilly.

•This program is not fully guided. Local representatives will assist you with your transfers and you will have a tour escort however, the program at the lodge and hotel is run solely and at the discretion by the lodge/hotel staff.

    Expected Weather:

•As a general rule, we would suggest that you allow sufficient local currency to cover the cost of any additional service at hotels, as many of the small lodges and game lodges do not have credit card facilities. MasterCard and Visa are widely accepted, with more limited use placed on American Express and Diners Card.

  • Become thoroughly immersed in the UAE’s cultural contrasts by touring Dubai, browsing the city’s visionary Museum of the Future, dining outdoors in the desert and admiring the traditional atmosphere in Sharjah.

    Day 1:

After disembarking the ship in Dubai, meet our guide and drive to the Emirate of Sharjah. The drive is quite panoramic as you pass some of the Emirate’s landmarks, such as the King Faisal Mosque, the Pearl Monument symbol of the country, the Blue Souk and the Ruler’s area. Worthy to know is that, in 1998, Sharjah won the UNESCO award of being the Cultural capital of the Arab world. This Emirate really takes great pride with its commitment to art and preserving the local heritage and hosts very interesting museums, such as the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization.

A visit to this museum will allow you to deepen your knowledge the country’s official religion, Islam, and to understand how the Arab civilization developed throughout the centuries. Of particular interest is also the building in which the Museum is located. Once hosting the Souk Al Majarrah, it is characterized by impressive architecture with traditional Arab-Islamic design elements in its ground-plan and décor. Its most outstanding feature is its majestic, gilt central dome, decorated on the inside with an intricate mosaic depicting the night sky and the signs of the zodiac.

Then walk to the nearby Souk Al Arsa, the oldest souk in the UAE. Arsa is a local Arabic word meaning ‘the area where goods are being sold in a traditional open space way' and it correctly defines this souk. Here you can find displayed various traditional items and goods, such as copper, silver and wood items, traditional jewelry, pearls and garments.

Enjoy lunch in a 5-star hotel in Sharjah prior to transferring to your hotel in Dubai for check-in.

The remainder of the day is at leisure and dinner will be on your own.

    Day 2:

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before embarking on a panoramic tour of modern Dubai.

Your tour starts with a drive to the Jumeirah Beach area with photo stops at the Jumeirah Mosque, a magnificent example of modern Islamic architecture, followed by a stop to photograph the landmark of the city, the famous Burj Al Arab Hotel which is built on a manmade island.

From here you will drive to the Marina and take a 10-minute break to walk through the Marina overlooking the lagoon. Thereafter, you drive through the Jumeirah Beach Residence area and drive on to the Palm Jumeirah, which is the most talked about project of the new Dubai.

Continue to Sheikh Zayed Road and arrive at the Dubai Mall which is the largest shopping mall in the world. The Dubai Mall is the region's premier shopping, lifestyle and entertainment destination. With more than 1,200 stores and a host of world-class attractions, The Dubai Mall is revolutionizing the modern shopping experience.

From here you will walk to the Burj Khalifa – the tallest building in the world. Head up to the 124th floor for the opportunity to view the entire city in the viewing gallery.

You will have some free time to grab a bite to eat at the Dubai Mall or perhaps do some shopping instead.

Next proceed to the Museum of The Future where you will step into the year 2071. Walk past exhibitions that straddle the past and future in a beautiful blend. Admire the gleaming 77-meter torus-shaped structure with calligraphy panels all around. The absence of columns inside makes this structure quite a feat in modern engineering. Spread across five floors are five different chapters covering themes of climate change, ecology, health, wellness, spirituality, imagination, and the future of space travel and living.

Return to your hotel where the remainder of the day is at your leisure and dinner is on your own.

    Day 3:

Following breakfast at your hotel enjoy the morning at leisure to enjoy the facilities of your hotel or perhaps to venture out and do some exploring near your hotel. Lunch is on your own.

In the afternoon, meet your guide and group once again, this time for an adventurous dune dinner safari. Experience the sheer thrill of driving up and down golden yellow sand dunes in comfortable 4-wheel drive vehicles. Drive past the Bedouin villages and stop at a camel camp to discuss the “news” of the day!

You will then enjoy some thrilling dune bashing with the experienced drivers over golden sand dunes.

Close to sunset, the group arrives at the sunset point where "time stands still". Experience the silence of the desert and watch the stunning vista of endless dunes and the magical desert sunset.

After sunset you will continue your journey deep into the desert until you reach the soft light of a Bedouin Village.

The campsite is specifically built to depict an authentic Bedouin Village with Barasti (dried palm leaves) tents. It is beautifully lit and decorated with rustic carpets and low tables with soft Arabic music in the background. Despite the rustic appeal, the campsite does have modern restroom facilities and basins with running water.

The campsite even has one area set-up with hubbly bubbly water pipes (Shisha’s) where you can relax and try a puff or two of this local favorite past time after your buffet barbeque dinner or you can watch a belly dancer as she dances to the rhythm of the music.

Following this fun filled Arabian evening you will head back to your hotel.

**Note: Guests do not drive. The dune dinner safari takes place in 4-wheel drive vehicles and the drive can be quite bumpy. This is not recommended for anyone with bad backs or if they are pregnant. We recommend having a light lunch prior to the commencement of the tour. Please wear casual clothing and bring a light sweater or jacket for the evening hours. This tour is subject to weather conditions. Seating for the dinner is on low divan cushions as per the typical Bedouin way of dining

    Day 4:

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Checkout and transfer to Dubai airport according to your departure flight schedule.

Check out time is 12:00 noon. Luggage storage facility is available at the hotel for those who are leaving by late flights. Guests flying out of Abu Dhabi will be required to pay a surcharge for their transfer.
